If you do not have enough bone to place implants, what alternatives do I have??

One of the limitations to the execution of an osseointegrated implant is the lack of bone (alveolar) as a result of traumatic tooth extraction, due to the loss of teeth caused by periodontal disease or bone resorption due to dentures incongruous. This limit is more or less overcome, and cases where it is not possible to insert an implant are increasingly rare. The solutions can be adopted are varied and depend on the clinical situation and the results of other investigations, such as x-ray three-dimensional mandibular or maxillary bone (maxiscan). In cases where bone defects are so extensive as to prevent the placement of plants, arrangements must be made to carry out “increase in bone volume” to be carried out with different surgical techniques depending on the type of defect (vertical or horizontal) and assessment of the general parameters (general health, age of the patient) and local (location of the defect).
